  1. Enjoyed the books & would like to see a proper series adaptation of then on screen. The Idris Elba film, while watcheable, was nothing like it

  2. There’s too much in the narrative of these books that is too touchy for today’s culture. How would they ever incorporate O’Detta/Detta, and Susannah’s tragic childhood.

  3. If this could be done properly, it’d make for one of the best TV series, ever. The books were fantastic. But, geez you’d have to drop a dollar or two, to do it all, and do it justice.

  4. Ok, one last thing. I think Daniel Craig as Roland and Sebastian Stan as Eddie would be perfect! Susannah/Odetta/Detta/Mia could be Keri Washington! Omg I can’t help it I’m still excited.

  5. I’ll believe it when I see it.
We’ve been teased so many times with potential Dark Tower projects, even one run by Ron Howard, only to have them fizzle and die.
After the travesty of the movie we got, I’m not sure Hollywood has the fortitude to take this project on in any truly serious fashion, but we’ll see.

  6. I don’t know why Stephen King books appear to be impossible to recreate on film. I thought it was screenwriters/directors flexing, but when I heard King approved the Idris Alba version, I felt positively betrayed.

  7. My ideal cast would include Clint Eastwood’s son Scott as Roland (IYKYK) and Zendaya for Detta (yes, she’s in absolutely everything but she could hit Odetta out of the park!)
