  1. Ubisoft being neo-colonialist and cultural appropriarion in one game. Sure, make a game in Japan and dont use a Japanese man as the main, instead use a black servant (he was a real dude) and make him a Samurai (which is was not) just to please DEI. Arent Asians, Japanese, enough? No, Ubisoft had to be racist toward them.

  2. This game is incredibly racist. The main character in a Japanese setting can’t even be a Japanese man, but is instead black? Every single incidence of Assassin’s Creed has culture and race appropriate characters, but this one. A serious slap in the face to Asian men everywhere. This is another in a long history of race swapping Asian men out for others. But nowadays, they just rewrite the characters, such as in Netflix’s Three Body Problem, to try to make it seem less problematic. And no Yasuke was never a Samurai.
