  1. Gary Oldman would probably hear an n in cut 🤣😂🤣😂 but seriously a magnificent actor, starred in some great films and portrayed his characters with ease, from a drugged up cop in Leon (pictured), dracula as the titular character and was spot on as Jim Gordon in The Dark Knight trilogy

  2. Having been on set with him and watching him do the same scene, word perfect, with the same gestures and intonation, 4 times in a row, even when the camera isn’t on him, I can thoroughly endorse this thought. Truly an awesome actor.

  3. He is one of the absolute best. Maybe too good for his own good, since you don’t always know it’s him. He can play any role and make you believe it every time.

  4. I have always thought Gary O was a brilliant actor but having read the Slow Horses books since they were published, he wasn’t my first choice for that role. Having said that series1 was very sympathetic to the 1st book, the 2nd series was a bit of a disappointment on the old village blowing up, nest of commie sleeper agents inanEnglish village storyline compared to the book

  5. I’ve seriously heard this is how deep Mike Leigh got his actors to be.

There was a mass brawl in Soho in the 90s with two guys at the centre of it – the police were too afraid to go near them – and then Mike Leigh tiptoed up to them, tapped the guys on the shoulder and said “now you can get out of character”. They then stopped fighting, and calmly walked away😂

  6. I between scenes on a show someone off camera pointed out there was some glue glue on a screen In shot .

Oldman calmly says it looks like spooge and sets of one of the best laighs I ever had at work

    Top notch Actor
