  1. I enjoyed what he did with Peacemaker, as I did with (the first) Guardians of The Galaxy. The Suicide Squad remake was highly entertaining, too… And Brightburn was brilliant.

His skill has been proven – but I think the issue with him is less on his ability, and more on his attitude. I wonder how many people he’ll burn through while he’s on his power trip..

  2. regardless of differences in creative vision or whatever, Snyder’s tenure was before WB went into financial freefall (for which he bears no responsibility) and despite the company’s attempts to sell Gunn’s role as equivalent to Feige at MCU, for better or, more likely, worse, the senior execs and bean counters are going to have much greater control on production decisions going forward. i wouldn’t be surprised to see Gunn forced out in a year or so. Bad business decisions far upstream have them desperately slashing/selling off content to throw money into the black hole they created. probably going to get a lot worse before it gets better. maybe 3-5 years down the road, after current execs have been forced out (with big payouts), corporate restructuring, and lots of turmoil, we’ll get yet another reboot of everything. maybe they should do like marvel did decades ago, lease their properties to Sony or Fox in exchange for cash, let someone make the movies.

  3. The consistent inconsistencies in the DCU has really lost my interes in the whole thing. Just pick a direction and stick with it already! If I have to see one more recasting of Batman…I swear, I’m done with the whole the whole lot of em!
