  1. I like that they say audiences don’t want comedy. We don’t mind comedy, we just want comedy with some intelligence instead of 10yr old bathroom humor for “adults.” You know, something actually witty, and maybe even funny.

  2. I thought the show was fun. If I want to watch something grim like “Schindler’s List” I will. This show is a different beast altogether, and some whimsy and lightheartedness is not a bad thing.

  3. The feeling I got from all of MCU phase 4 is they were wrapping up some character arcs and were trying to pull in audiences outside the mainstream fan base they already had. The issue is when something is not targeted at them the internet trolls go stupid instead of watching an episode or two, deciding no this isn’t for me, and just moving on with life.

  4. I honestly wanted to like it, but it wasn’t enough about the character, the story, or even that good of a comedy. It wouldn’t focus and gave way too much attention to attacking a portion of the audience that was never going to have anything good to say about it to begin with. The recent Black Panther movie was fantastic, and while a lot of Thor: Love and Thunder was bad, Jane Foster as Mighty Thor was an actual bright spot of the film. Blaming toxic masculinity or toxic portions of the fanbase needs to stop being an excuse for justifying poor writing. If it’s always the audience to blame, no one learns and changes to become better. This being a comedy was never the issue, and the article writer doesn’t get that. The MCU has poked fun at itself before, and there has been comedy interwoven throughout the whole of the MCU, some parts more than others. It failed in Thor: Love and Thunder because it wasn’t well timed and got more in the way of the story than complimenting it. She-Hulk’s comedy failed because it wasn’t built on anything or woven into the story, and it tried to tell you what to think. Like having Wong make another cameo and straight up telling the audience they were happy to see him again ruined any chance of that actually being true. It constantly hurt itself.

  5. It was fine. We needed a female hero that pointed out a lot of misogyny that goes on. And besides, kids, it’s a comic book TV show. If you want great writing and original thinking, go see an independent film.

  6. Because it never existed in the MCU to begin with. You can’t make fans like something that didn’t exist in the original.
That’s like giving Luke Skywalker another sister and making a whole series around a character that never existed 🤦🏼‍♂️

  7. I started off really liking the show and near the end some episodes were boring or just bad; with the season finale being the absolute worst. I was so mad at that last episode. I wanted it to be something else but nothing like that😳 I’d definitely give it a 2nd season though, her supporting cast was amazing and funny.

  8. I liked it. Or basically, I liked almost everything till that last episode. The 4th wall break was too much.
But, I’m all for more legal dramady using the cast. There’s a lot you could do in the super world.

Think night court, but with extra exaggerated outcomes. Like the dude who has 11 wives claiming his money? That’s a premise for a while ep, not just a b plot.

  9. I honestly watched for Jameela Jamil(love her) and they gave her an even worse part than Tatiana Maslany!

If there’s a season 2 I hope they won’t try to make it so comical.

The tongue-in-cheek jokes were fun but you almost have to have real comedians with perfect timing to get the joke off…

  10. The HUMOR in the movies and TV shows was written by poor writers. I hope She-hulk finds her place in the MCU movies, cause she needs redemption with a much better writer. I like to see her on the Avengers next movie.

  11. I’m glad that some people liked it. But I did not. It was so poorly written, didn’t make any sense, and I quit watching somewhere around mid-season. A coworker told me I had to watch the finale bc it was “epically bad” (except the cool throwback opening theme on the final episode! That was cool!). And he was correct. Seriously. W.T.F.

Now, if season 2 opens with her waking up from a coma—that’s the only way I can see season 1 making “sense” lol
